About Discussions

This unmoderated list is for open discussions of interest to the San Francisco Bay Area Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) community. You need not be a BayCHI member to subscribe to this list (although we certainly encourage you to become a member). Only list subscribers may post to this list. The list is protected from spam by the SpamAssassin package. This list replaces BAYCHI-DISCUSS@ACM.ORG, which is now obsolete. This list is distinct from the monthly BayCHI newsletter and meeting announcements. To change your settings on those lists (which are regenerated monthly from the BayCHI membership database), please send e-mail to the BayCHI change of address mailbox coa@baychi.org. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Discussions Archives. The current archive is only available to the list subscribers.

Using Discussions

To post a message to all the list subscribers, send email to discussions@baychi.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to Discussions

Subscribe to Discussions by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the subscribers list is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
